Sophia immediately feels Remorse. She realizes she stepped out of line and "wept many tears." The Gnostic texts say her "Repentance" is what allows the higher light to eventually trickle down to save us. The reason the Demiurge gets the "blame" isn't just because he exists; it’s because of his Arrogance. Unlike Sophia, who repented, the Demiurge looked at the empty void and said, "I am God and there is no other God beside me." It isn't about Sophia and seeing a "woman getting away with a mistake," while sees the Demiurge as a "male being blamed for just doing his job." (Personally I don't think higher being should be look at with sexes but it's how our 3d brains work) Sophia represents Wisdom that overstepped. The Demiurge represents Ignorance that refuses to admit it’s wrong. It's all about how they reacted and acted after they made mistakes. It's actually really good story about making mistakes. But I'm happy to discuss it.
