Sometimes I think I've been at rock bottom for a long time, to the point that even if I have the opportunity to improve, my body and mind won't adapt.
Having a girlfriend means giving up a significant amount of your time. It means giving up arguing with autists on the internet about politics, anime etc. It means giving up a significant portion of your money to go to the cinema with the foid. Travelling with the foid. Buy presents for the foid. Going to a restaurant with the foid, etc. Would all this really make you happier?
What about when you don't have the patience to deal with her? If you only have the patience to play touhou and watch some anime? You do realise that she's going to sit on 81063581035861 black cocks, right? Are you willing to live with STDs besides being a fucking ex-NEET?
I'm an extremely needy person. Perhaps because I've never dated before, I keep projecting myself onto the couples I see happily walking down the street. I get extremely depressed listening to artists like Taylor Swift, for example. It makes me think of everything I haven't experienced in the past. I do realise that it's all part of a chemical reaction that my brain produces to make me want to get a woman and cum inside her pussy, but it's hard to fight your own nature.
That's precisely my initial point. If a miracle happened and I got a girlfriend, would I really be able to adapt? Or would I give up after a few weeks so I could have more time to play touhou or coom to loli hentai?
And what about you? If Misaki-chan knocked on your door to ‘save’ you, do you think you'd be able to let go of NEETdom and live like a normal human being? I don't think so...

Word for word, the cons outweigh the pros

No. She will never truly love me. I will just be a betabuxx until she dumps me for Chad. I value alone time more than spending it with others anyway.

Also I’m chronically ill i’ll never be happy
What chronic illness?
if you don't mind telling

Girlfriends are good but you need the capital, know too many broke guys who want the gf but don't have the finance for the relationship, gotta understand in many ways dating is an investment: she gives sex, potential kids, and validation, and in return girls expect gifts and to go out and do stuff, and if you can't do that she will get bored quick, especially when she sees her friends doing fun stuff, just food for thought.

I think it's meant to happen during your early formative years, people thrived under tribal and communal bonds... we weren't supposed to become these socially isolated, alienated freaks.
You know how normies, when they see a relationship between a 40 year old and a 20 year old or something, they seethe going "omg, they don't have the same experience in life" and so on, whatever gay bullshit

Well.. that 20 year old bimbo is infinitely closer to the 40 year old guy than I am with most women my age
I think a lot of us are too far gone to have any sort of genuine bond or for a girlfriend to improve our lives. I've tried to socialize with normies and found it to be abhorrent, even when they were nice to me and liked me (last year)

It's not so much the idea of having a girlfriend or something that's important, it's about both your mental state and experiences
Hard to cultivate either if you lack necessary developmental milestones

It's not just about girls but about validation early on and countless other things. I have it a million times better and am less neurotic than many people here because I got a lot of validation in my very early life (of course my teenage years were as bad as anyone else here). But plenty of times you see good looking, high status guys who are still abused dogs mentally because they grew up bullied/with bad experiences
