Regarding the thread topic, the reason why Looksmax and .is are so successful is because they were the 'first movers' in entering that space, thus having the strong competitive advantage and establishing themselves as the top and primary platform for Blackpill/Inceldom discussion.

It's similar in nature to where, for example, 4chan and other 'altchans' (alternative imageboards) are to Master's forums and other smaller forums like here and Blackpill Club.

Another more generalised example I can think of is Google's search engine dominance of >90% of market share, and the other small and niche search engines, (Yahoo!, Bing, DuckDuckGo etc.).
