Following on from the previous thread, it seems that days go by quicker because we wake up later in the day and experience less hours of the daytime. Before artificial light, humans would wake up in the dawn.

If you rot at home a lot your perception of time will also go faster because your brain is bored. You need to do new stuff to make time go slower again
