I think i count as herbovore man. Its been a while since i looked into it.

Im from USA

I think having all kinds of opinions about other cultures is obnoxious

There are many men that consider themselves herbivorous but just don't have the word.

I don't think it's a coincidence that 'Herbivore men', 'MGTOW', '4B' and the like are exploding in popularity after Neo-Malthusian sentiment skyrocketed post-80s.

I think they are copers... Overall though I would say it represents atomization and social defeat rather than genuine expression of will. From what I see 'Herbivore' males are males defeated in intra-sexual competition, or they are deprived of social opportunity to the extent that their life is a tragedy with no opportunity to even develop the desire to court: an Omega.

Having strong opinions is a sign you are invested in the world. Chauvinist tryhards can be irritating, but they are more endearing than a herbivore too psychologically conquered to express his own feelings or desires; I think we will be seeing a lot more of the latter as social stressors accelerate social defeat well into the (20)30s and 40s.

From the Wikipedia article
The term was coined by the author Maki Fukasawa, who initially intended for it to describe a new form of masculinity that was not reliant on the proactivity and assertiveness typically associated with masculinity in Japan. Philosopher Masahiro Morioka defines herbivore men as "kind and gentle men who, without being bound by manliness, do not pursue romantic relationships voraciously and have no aptitude for being hurt or hurting others."

I don't think it's cope if everything is blamed on you.

I don’t really think there’s a point in competing especially if there’s not much of an incentive to nowadays. The monogamous nuclear family structure has become less of a norm and the social pressures which gave rise to its formation are now at its weakest. Some people just don’t bother with the whole charade.
