I agree with many points in the video. I don’t really take any ideology seriously. It just feels like technology is at a point where it has the potential to start making real positive changes.

You absolutely never read any of Land's work. The real accelerationists are the government, funding technology towards the singularity. The Mike Ma view of 'muh lets burn the world to the ground and build it back up' has absolutely nothing to do with Nick Land.

I dont know either of the 2. I do quicker to tell you how I see tech so you decide what suits best.

I think tech is what we humans do. We invent things, we dominate. We evolve, so on. I think this is the pipeline: Homo erectus > Homo faber > homo sapiens > homo narrativus > homo deus.

So when you advance in this pyramid, at some point you will be able to rewrite yourself. That makes you conclude the cycle. When A human will be able to stop his own code mid-execution and then rewrite his wetware, thats when we close the loop and we become recursive for real.

So whats tech in my view? It is a continual human becoming where we recursively extend human agency until theres no distinction between created systems and systems that simply exist on their own.

Which of the 2 ideas suits me best?
