I rise today to introduce the Public Decency and Online Content Regulation Bill, which seeks to address the rapid and unregulated spread of dark humour, satirical content, and meme culture across modern media platforms.

This proliferation can trivialize suffering, normalize violence, and fuel targeted harassment under the guise of humour — harms that existing laws and platform policies struggle to address effectively.

Dark comedy and horror movies do not make us feel insecure like someone's vivid imagination is accidentally guessing oddly specific things ahead of time, no, that would be really strange. We are not evil.

I commend the Bill to the House.

There's a deeper debate in the OP actually... It's happening in the world right now, they're legislating OSA and KOSA in the UK and the USA, and Chat Control in the EU. The rest in the world is following the same exact models.

They're getting rid of e2ee and online anonymity.
