I'm going to assume two different Oliver twist movies?

Off the top of my head:

Antichrist - lars von trier

Hard to be a god - Aleksei German

Come and see - Elem Klimov

The Holy Mountain - Alejandro Jodorowsky

The Color of Pomegranates - Sergei Parajanov

suspiria - Dario Argento

Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom - Pier Paolo Pasolini

I feel like I could go on and on and on and looking at the list I leaned heavier on the Slavic creators I liked but idk, I couldn't share most of these movies with any one but complete strangers online or intimate friends or lovers. That's the funny space anons get to live in haha.

I doubt anyone here would enjoy any of those.

I don't think you'll enjoy them, they are a lot about abstract suffering and human condition.

you might like hard to be a god it's a good book and a wonderful movie about about an Earth scientist on a medieval-like planet who is forbidden from interfering with its brutal, regressing society but struggles to watch the persecution of intellectuals.

And possibly come and see, it's a WW2 movie but it's not very action packed and more from the eyes of a young body in his early teens. It's an anti war movie, but I saw you liked all quiet on the western front and I always thought of it as a great anti war book. Reading it the first time in middle school.

The rest are very abstract and could even be considered horror.

You know as I was driving today I was thinking about this and you. You might enjoy how to be a god a lot, I remember a few back and forth we had when I first got here and it made me think of you and the main character.

Funny, imagining an advanced man from a future civilization on a back water planet in an era similar to earth in the 14th century just kinda having to make best of what is basically a zoo job for himself and it made me think of you in this forum in a way.

It really is up there and one of my favorite to be sure! If you have the constitution for it.
