Gifted And Talented Education was marketed about letting the smart kids do extra math.

It’s a soft filter net the system runs on every classroom to find the ones whose brains already leak a little.

They pull selected kids out of normal class under the polite lie of enrichment.

Then come the tests that don’t look like normal tests: pattern recognition that edges into precognition, memory games that feel like remote viewing practice, questionnaires about dreams, “imaginary” friends, time slips, and whether you’ve ever known something you had no business knowing.

The ones who score high get tracked.

The ones who score too high get extra attention.

It was pretty fun.

Though was shocked when I saw you mention the GATE program. I was in it for a bit before I moved and then got lazy. (Though they kept trying put me back in.) Was fun for a bit. Yeah, plus going to be honest. Unless the GATE Program was granting more than just homework like my old school did. (More field trips, monthly pizza parties, etc.) Most smart students are going to find a way out. As it was just pointless work half of the time. Hint why you have the smart ones get out.

This is a more of a old school forum that people who were surfing the net in the 00s and 90s would use over someone who would use their phone app to read tweets and their facebook feed. You more likely going to find gifted people here than on an smaller social app.

To be fair. The ran it but didn't have much control over it. Hints why they are not pushing hard for control. However, back in the day they couldn't force much control as it mostly was forums and blogs. Now, with video and all they can cry CP and grooming and use the children like they always do.

To be fair, anyone looking hard enough could see that the quality of teachers were draining since the 80s when women HR men out of teaching so by the late 90s and 00s I don't think you could even have a male teacher till like 3rd 4th grade. (Unless they were gay or trans, got to have the groomers now.) Plus, the unions made public school so much worse and basically admit they don't care about the students but the teachers. Put enough woke fags in there trying to molest and groom them for kicks and internet brownie points, and it's no wonder more and more people are pulling their kids out public schools. I mean, some places you have high school students who can barely fucking read. They just pushing them up and make the next teacher deal with it
