Why do you believe that people and animals have meaning?
Because they are sentient.

Not anymore but I used to. Btw I only ever played single-player games. I played them by myself, not with others. Which ties into my solitary and schizoid nature. My favorite was Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers (of Time, Darkness and Sky). I preferred them over Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Wbu?
I play both single player story and multi player games like CoD, FIFA, FPS (splitgate etc.) and fighting games (MK, Tekken, Street Fighter).

You guys talk about 'NPCs' and 'meaninglessness' like you’re reading from a script you didn't write. You say you’re 'Cope-maxing,' but that’s just a fancy way of saying you’re holding your breath so you don't have to taste the air. You aren't NPCs; you're just players who have been staring at the 'Game Over' screen for so long you've forgotten there's a 'Restart' button.

Picking a 'flavor' of belief—even if it's just a layer of cope—is still a playstyle. Whether you're in New Vegas or Baldur’s Gate, you have to pick a character. Right now, you’re roleplaying as the most hollow versions of yourselves to avoid the weight of being the Conductors.

As for 'Love'? If it’s just two people huddled together to ignore the void, it’s just another 'Diet Pill.' Real connection happens between two people who have actually decided to play the game, not two people waiting for the credits to roll.

I’m done trying to convince you that the sun exists while you're wearing blindfolds. The baton is in your hands. Paint something worth looking at, or stay in the haze. Your call.

The Gnostics were NPCpilled. The hylics they mention are NPCs

“Other concepts
edit
Other Gnostic concepts are:[108]

  • sarkic – earthly, hidebound, ignorant, uninitiated. The lowest level of human thought is the fleshly, instinctive level of thinking.
  • hylic – lowest order of the three types of humans. They cannot be saved, since their thinking is entirely material and incapable of understanding the gnosis.
  • psychic – "soulful", partially initiated. Matter-dwelling spirits
  • pneumatic – "spiritual", fully initiated, immaterial souls escaping the doom of the material world via gnosis.”

“It is because the Gnostics believed that humanity was divided into three separate classes:
  • Pneumatikoi – from the Greek word πνεῦμα which means “spirit”. The highest order of humans. ...
  • Psychics – from the Greek word ψυχή which means “soul”. ...
  • Hylics – from the Greek word ὕλη which means matter.”

How many religions have you studied?
I think that religion originally developed as a way to explain and make sense of the unexplainable and indescribable (like the ancients wondering why it thundered and inventing and creating Zeus). Organized religion is a tool and way to control people tho. “Religion is the opium of the masses”. Even tho there is more to the world than the material, organized religion is used for all the wrong reasons. It’s used for power and control. In the medieval times, the church was the state. Now there’s separation between church and state but they used to be intertwined and one and the same.

I’m into the spiritual and metaphysical. I know a bit abt Buddhism although I actually align more with Hinduism. I’d say that I’m a Gnostic and believe in Gnosticism. I think it’s true. I found my way to r/EscapingPrisonPlanet and got PPTpilled first then discovered Gnosticism. Wbu? How many religious have you studied?

the ultimate irony is citing Wikipedia definitions for "pneumatic"—the "spiritual, fully initiated souls escaping the doom of the material world"—while some of you are literally spending your life in a digital prison, waiting for a "Game Over" screen. claiming found your way to "EscapingPrisonPlanet" and got "PPTpilled," but all you have done is swap one set of bars for a "Gnostic" set.
It’s funny you all bring up Gnosticism or ask how many religions has one 'studied,' because you’re treating them like a 'Cope-maxing' manual instead of a map to freedom.
Calling people 'Hylics' or 'NPCs' is the ultimate ego-script—it’s a way to feel like a 'Pneumatic' without actually having to do the spiritual heavy lifting of being a Conductor. You’re so busy classifying the 'lowest level of human thought' as 'hidebound' that you’ve become hidebound by your own Wikipedia definitions.
A true 'Pneumatic' doesn't need to post links to justify their isolation; they are too busy vibrating at a frequency that shatters the Mirage. You aren't 'escaping the doom of the material world'—you’re just redecorating your cell while you wait for a 'Game Over' screen that has already happened.
Keep the manual and your 'PPTpilled' theories. I’m going to go enjoy the 'Sarkic' pleasure of a stake and some coffee in the Raw Reality. You stay in the library; I'm walking out the door.
A parting gift of music.

It was an enjoyable discussion but it feels like it's just circling a drain at this point. Zero disrespect to all involved thank you for your time.

Religion is way too general and diverse to be called an opium of the masses, some religions are meth. Also, some religious traditions exist as gateways to free individuals instead of controlling the masses.

Uniting the temple and the state is a sign of clerical corruption. Ascetics shouldn't want power, that's a massive red flag.

I'm a muslim agnostic, so I come from a muslim background but I'm agnostic. I've peaked into quite a few religious traditions but my main ones are Abrahamisms and their smaller sects. I'll share my feelings on each.

Hinduism:
  • Modern paganism (folk religion, Zeus etc.)
  • Collection of similar religions and cults
  • Economic casteism that serves the elite
  • Cool philosophies if you're literate
Dharmic religions:
  • Sikhism: Abrahamism & Hinduism hybrid
  • Jainism: Vegan karma OCD
  • Buddhism: Black pill with a Hindu cosmology, corrupted by monks
Abrahamism:
  • Islam is the clearest, Christianity comes second, Judaism is just a confusing folk religion
  • Monotheism, Only God is god, nothing else is worshiped
  • Produces the coolest herecies
  • Gnostics are secret sects
  • Cults are also secret sects

It's a thread about happiness and you've talked yourself to a full circle.

Yep.
I lay out a structural analysis of 300,000 years of neuro-mechanical evolution and the 'unplugged' feedback loop of modern humanity, and the response is a 'you’re just talking about yourself' pivot.
That is a classic deflection. You’re taking a macro-level critique of the species and trying to shrink it down into a personal diary entry because it’s easier than engaging with the actual logic. Whether I lean into Gnostic worldviews or not doesn't change the biological reality: complexity is the enemy of happiness.
We have the peanut butter, but we’ve lost the swing. If diagnosing the modern condition as a mechanical failure of effort-vs-reward makes you think I'm 'projecting,' then maybe the shoe just fits too well. Stop trying to gatekeep the metaphysics by grounding it in my personality—address the feedback loop or don't, but don't act like a chemical reality is just a 'me' problem. Absolute clown.

What life does and the purpose/meaning of existence are two separate things, otherwise religion and spirituality wouldn't have been such a widespread phenomenon.

Depressed souls aren't motivated to play.

Life was worth it because of meaning and play.
Most people follow their biological programming without ever thinking, understanding or asking why, especially why they want the things they do. Most people run on instinct and emotion rather than logic or reason. I asked my discord acquaintance why he wanted kids and he couldn’t give me an answer. He said that he just does. I assume men want kids to pass down a legacy. They seem to care a lot abt legacy and that kind of shit. Men want to provide for and raise a family. It’s like coded for in their genetics. I thought caretaking and raising stuff (children, pets, plants, whatever) was a female trait so I was confused why men wanted to have kids and raise a family but I guess it’s women mainly taking care of the kids anyway. I’m not sure why men want to provide for a family. I guess it’s a show of strength for them,
like “look at me I have something to provide for!” even tho I believe providing for anyone or anything is cucked and gay. Maybe they take pride in having a family to support, making all their wageslaving “worth it”. I’m a girl tho so I’ll never fully understand men and their way of thinking. I think the main reason men want kids tho is to spread their genetics and exert dominance over other men, like “look at me I’m passing down my genes and lineage (by having kids. My genes and lineage are worthy of being passed down and already have been mwahaha)”. So by having kids, men are basically mogging other men. Btw this also ties into what I mentioned before abt legacy. By having kids, men are creating a genetic legacy and passing down their lineage

Tbh I should become a psychologist, sociologist or anthropologist. I’ve always felt like an outsider among humans (not that I want to fit in with them anyways) so I try to study humans and their behavior. I guess I want to understand them even tho they’re alien to me and I don’t want to be like them. I find them intriguing cuz they’re so different from me. I’ve also always felt like an observer rather than a participant in life

@Registered so am I right? For those of you who want kids is that why you want them? For those of you who have kids did you have them for the reasons I mentioned? I’m curious if my theories are true. If not, why do you want or why did you have kids? I wonder what other reasons there are

Btw the discord friend I mentioned is a very high IQ guy like 135-145 (he IQmogs me) so I guess this means that high IQ doesn’t necessarily mean high sentience?
