Discussion Anime characters are gods / spiritual entities / aliens

[Amor Fati]

I am thoroughly convinced that anime characters are some kind of higher species, gods, spiritual entities, aliens etc.

Their designs, their entrancing appearances have so captivated a vast portion of humanity that I think that there is no other way to explain this phenomenon other than that they are higher, more advanced entities that have taken physical shape in this realm in the form of drawings.

Idk enough about his beliefs to answer that correctly, but he breathed life into his Sonichu egregore, making it real

Hmmm...I never thought about it that way, but you're actually right! While I myself don't necessarily watch that much anime (to be more specific I watch anime, Western animation, and live action stuff all precisely an equal amount, so not too leaning too much into any of the three categories) I was always weirdly enticed by the designs. They were so weirdly cute in a way that Western animation and live action stuff was never able to capture. Even cuter than puppies, kittens, babies, etc. Gotta wonder how they did it.

Anime characters represent a fictional perfection akin to that of godhood. What's missing is their omnipotence and omnipresence which would cement them as idols

This is the plot of Serial Experiments Lain btw

Anime is truly a beautiful art medium that we humans have invented.
