i personally tried to learn dutch last year but quit
I also tried to learn french earlier this year and failed

I'm gonna try again this year hopefully and not quit after 4 weeks

Only english but nowadays english isnt even a foreign language tbh everyone knows it its like it spawns in ppls heads its ez to learn it

yeah i learnt english through youtube vids easily
these days kids just watch some cocomelon and learn English in like 3 years

Did 200 day streak on Duolingo for Portuguese but it was all a waste

My Spanish teacher said something about you having to make an effort to interact with people that speak the language you're trying to learn as well as surround yourself with material that's in that language

It's probably true since my Swedish friend learned English from playing games with my group of friends

Yea tbh, I don't fully depend on subtitles tho, i also watch tutorials, and other resources too which is also necessary for this

learnt enough French to be able to read Radiguet, Rimbaud, Baudelaire and Lautreamont for a time, but neglected it for far too long, so now i can barely read in it. got pissed off with German when i couldn't read Kraus or Kafka without referring to a dictionary every sentence, so i gave up after a month
