I think that the video that the shooter posted confirms my theory for me, the one over in the basilisk thread.

There's a lot of freedom but that's going to go away soon because we're not naming the problems. If privileges get abused they go away. They even go away if they're targeted by corrupt politicians and aren't properly defended.

I think there is an unaddressed mechanism that's causing mass attacks because we're not recognising the components. Individuals arrive at suicide and when they do, there are already existing pipelines designed to take something that would be a single suicide and turn it into a meme attack.
