Why cope lightly? whole point of coping is to manage/attempt to overcome our problems.

Because it puts this expectation of "I should be able to cope with everything", and so, when you are not able to cope with everything you get frustrated and create resentment for yourself.
Cope lightly first, then cope entirely later.
