Nothing special, I just asked to be removed as part of the downsizing. I didn't join for all of this drama and harassment from Schwarzwald or to appease Magonia's clique and his gaslighting as the admin so I decided to leave the forum. Threads just get derailed into pages of drama and spam and it's been going on unchecked for at least 3 months now. If it was some other members it would not have gone on for that long.

You're talking about Depresso here to clarify. The way I understand it is a lot of Gen Z and younger end up fragile because the entire system in Europe and the West is against them (and us as well), but they grew up with zero success to fall back on. Bad school experience, mediocre grades, no real job, no education, no girlfriend, parents up their ass, no way to escape being a dependent NEET. So they end up with victim complexes and act like whiny bitches.

They whine in their threads, you call them out on it, tell em to pull their chins up with some insults and banter thrown in to jolt them out of their malaise. But I'm starting to realize they can't take any criticism of that nature. Can't take a joke. They think you're an asshole, when really you're just trying to motivate them in the same way our forefathers would motivate us. Definitely a Millenial - Gen Z schism here. Maybe an American vs European difference as well.

Just my observation, maybe I'm wrong, but yes. Many of the 25 and younger can be like that. And it's a general pattern I see among many (although not all) younger posters, to varying degrees.

Let me be clear. I don't think you did anything wrong. You don't need to defend yourself. I personally like your style and personality, and if I may be as so bold to suggest it, I think you're a net positive to the forum, despite what others have said. I don't think you are an asshole or have acted like one at all.

I'm just explaining it from what I perceive to be Depresso's unfortunate perspective. Why I think he acted the way he did. And I totally understand your perspective as well.

At the end of the day, not everyone can be fixed or made whole. They can't be reached or reasoned with. They're beyond help, at least from us. Maybe some day they'll figure it out. You tried your best to help them. Don't let it get you down.
