I think the most rational and logical answer to the debate is a simple and effective one; God created a perfect system that allows life to continue on, surviving and adapting to the environment it finds itself in. He equipped all of life with this static constant. To me, it is 'logic' in of itself. Cells and their groups, muscles, nerves etc. all function on a logical basis that allow life to function. God's actions and fundamentals are built on logic, as as been shown to me throughout my spiritual walk but also in the design of our world.

It's absolutely absurd to assume that the animals we have in the modern age are anything like the ones from the Days of Creation. (We can debate Genesis another time, that's a large rabbit hole that not many like me are willing to logically challenge.) It's also absurd to ignore clear and recorded evidence of natural selection influencing genetics as well as survival of the fittest. It's intellectually and spiritually dishonest to throw the towel in one way or the other because you succumb to either a purely logical or purely emotional/conceptual resolution. God is a perfect blend of logic and emotion/concept, and when you align yourself to that 'narrow' path (Matthew 7:13–14) is when answers come clearly and swiftly. (Matthew 7:7-8)
