How much you take to read a shitpost? Depends on your reading speed, with mine, it takes around 50 seconds average if I am concentrated.
I have re-read some of my shitposts and I do 30 seconds up to 2 mins. Of all the ones I have read I averaged 50 seconds if I put some thinking and focus. But if I skip zones and I use "bubble vision", I can take an instant to capture meaning on a page, with bit more attention lets say I take 5-15 seconds and I already know 95% of the info.
I call it "bubble vision" but is a real principle of internet editing, I just forgot the name, I seen it mentioned in a blog. Basically they studied human vision and how it works on internet pages, they noticed that human will skip pieces, and concentrate around "areas of interest" and so they devised some catchy titles, some big letters and fonts that are supposed to facilitate this way of reading. They call it "eye-tracking research" as the "f-shape pattern" or "gaze plot heatmap"
Well, I wanted to discuss the D1d N0t R3ad meme. I seen people who argue endlessly, they say text is too long. But these people have no problem following youtube narratives. And to me, follow a video of 20 mins is a waste of my time, I feel like Im being drained of vitality. One time I watched youtube shorts, and I wasted 6 hours. Each video was longer than my avg shitpost time.
I dont understand how someone can say a shitpost like this one I just wrote is "too long" and they follow 5 hours of huberman interviews pretending is all fine. I mean, who cares what I wrote here, I just added some filler. I think it takes 25 seconds to read it till here, concentrated. It would take me 5 seconds if I used cognitive fast loading.
Instead with youtube I cant. You have to suck all 5 hours and the fangoys also interrogate me "did you watch that part". No, I cant watch 5 hours. I obviously have to skip it or increase playback speed. So how can they do it, but 20 sec of shitpost is "Too Long". Curious.
Stop here. Now I write stuff that elongates reading time over 30 sec (measured with my avg read speed)
I can do this on the internet. I can scale from split instant, to 5 econds (scanning high density areas) up to 50 seconds (high engagement mild focus) up to even longer if I use all my focus and energy to read something.
A video instead forces my superior brain superprocessor to be stuck with the slow cadence of the normie, his "funny gags" and my brain cannot really engage. Instantly my brain considers info "entertainment", but many times it isnt. Videos are often propaganda that I need to analyze, but I dont. Because I need a transcript to analyze deception, like for example huberman or alex jokes.
Videos are inefficient, full of narrative fluff and psyops. Text is efficient, fast and convenient. Fast superprocessors such as myself are frustrated by the normies. I feel agonizing pain and waste of energy when I follow the normie way of life. I feel like my vitality is drained and I am struck with a barrage of punches and there are some "invisible rules" that prevent me to fight back.
But I know how to fight back, I am just bound by "rules". And people insult me if I fight back against youtubers.
What a bureaucratic life I am living, all is ordered into tiny boxes and I have to be "mood checked" by slow pentiums, but my brain can go much faster. I can speed bump information, acquire more info in a week than a pentium can process in a lifetime.
