Felt like throwing a question I been talking about for a bit especially since the Paramount and Netflix bid to buy Warner Brothers.
What do you feel of "Mainstream Hollywood?" Why do you think they having so many movies, shows, etc are failing and not get their audience? Is it just the changing of the times? Where movies aren't big and shows aren't big anymore compare to shorts and live streams? Do you think it the people who are writing, directing them?
As of me, I think it comes down to one simple thing. The WOKE and those adjacent to them got mostly full control of Hollywood and after someone they didn't like won in 2016. It cause them to break mentally. They went full mask off and basically went full retard on pushing their agenda and pushing the "Orange Man Bad" on EVERYTHING they could. Killing their quality as well as pushing more and more into DIE/DEI/BRIDGE whatever they calling it now. To the point it was known to everyone, if you weren't grandfather in. If you're a straight white man. You had no future in Hollywood outside of maybe being a shadow writer for someone they were trying to push as a stunning and brave person. As well as cancelling most things for that "Cal-arts" slop that everything was doing.
Between the "purging of the non-woke guard" on anything entertianment. Pushing "Orange Man Bad" and that time everything had to have a "Gay Prom" in it. (Seriously what was with gays and prom in the 2010s-early 2020s?) We saw more and more people drop out of shows and movies for anime, and streaming old shows. However rather then see they were fucking up and course correcting. Most companies double down, Hell often the only shows that did well were the ones that were small and left alone cause for "whatever" reason. From no management forcing them to "put a chick in it, and make her gay and really lame." To it was a small company that just using Netflix, Amazon, Youtube, or whoever's platform to broadcast it others.
Hints why I think we saw the rise of Anime get bigger compare to what it was in the 90-2000s. As well as more Eastern based shows like Squid Games and all. Plus with 2020s "Lockdowns" and Hollywood, the Government, WHO, etc all pushing misinfomation to try and make changes all while trying to create the fucking Deparment of Truth to counter anyone who calls them out. I think people broke the habit, saw the mask slip, and basically saw them say you should suffer so I can feel good about living in luxury. From everyone needs to wear mask and do social distancing, but I can go to a fancy parties where only the "help" have to wear masks. So more and more people stop going to see the latest movie, and more and more movies flop in the box office. As well as them making gay and woke shit thinking that the IP would be enough to make people watch it cause it had fans. (How many remakes did they put a chick in it and make it gay and lame. Then whine people didn't go watch it cause they bigots or sexist?") So while some movies did well from Avatar, Top Gun, Guardians 3, Mario, etc. So many of these big 300-500k movies bomb so hard it cripping these billion dollar companies. Hell, the only reason Disney is still around is the fucking parks. So we're seeing legendary companies being sold off to smaller companies due to going full woke/retarded.
I think until Hollywood decentializes and we don't have these "Film Actors Guilds" have their writers, directors, etc push their current "message" into a classic story that they are supposed to just adapt into a movie. We see more and more big companies fall apart till they learn or purge the woke fuckers from their ranks. (Sadly, I think they have too many to purge and it would be better to just sell the IP off than keep the companies around.)
