When I had an account on LoversLab, I tried to become a psychopath in order to "fit in" with that site community (which is made of toxic psychopaths), but failed miserably. I'm too warm to become a psychopath, and feel great love for my creations. I could not submit my characters to rape as that would be a negation of self-love (as love for your own creations), and also a act of cuckoldry. Later I closed my account there and moved on, forgetting about the dark triad for a long time.
However, some weeks ago I came accross machiavellism as a interesting option to engage in the dark triad, without losing my self-love in the process. Machiavellism differs from psychopathy by a large margin, in which the machiavellian see every other human as a potential asshole (which is in fact true), whereas the psychopath loses a sense of self in the way it dont feel anything anymore, not even love for himself or excitement for his creations, or hate for others (as a differentiation of himself in relation to humanity as a whole, which he lacks). The psychopath embraces apathy and becomes automated with his feelings, like the society of the movie Equilibrium, for instance. The machiavellian would still be able to appreciate art, to feel something.
The instrumentalization is still there, though. People are seem as social creatures who aim only for their own self-interests, and will backstab even their own family members if the opportunity arises. This is very true to the core of what the normies are, since 99% of normies are narcissists and think they are above you in every situation. The side-effect is that you will be always lonely, and always on guard, and will see everybody in your daily life as npcs and potential enemies. But you acknowledge your own failures and re-evalute in order to build new strategies, contrary to a narcissist who is blind to himself, and hate when he sees his failures exposed when he compares himself to the other.
I think machiavellism is the best option in the dark triad, you dont look like a vain retard (narcissism), nor you lose your sense of self (psychopathy) but you kill any last chance you had of healthy relationships with the others, no matter of what kind. Good for those in their forties, like me.
