Hi everyone,
As previously announced, Elysian Fields will be kicking off March with a new community-based event, Club Games
Utilizing the already existing Clubs feature, members of different clubs will take to battle earning points for their team during the entirety of March
Here's how it works.
Scoring
Members of a club can create posts on the forum to earn points for their team
1 Post on the main forums = 1 Point.
Number of posts that have been made during the month will be visible on the 'Top Posters of the Month' leaderboard.
1 Thread/Group Discussion in your club = 5 Points.
Score Averaging
To make things fairer for smaller clubs, at the end of the event, winners will be determined by highest average points instead of total points
Eg.
Team 1 has 6 participants.
Members score 500, 200, 100, 50, 25 and 10 among each of the participants.
Team 2 has 3 participants.
Members score 350, 250 and 250 among each of the participants.
Team 1 has an average score of 147.5.
Team 2 has an average score of 283.
Team 2 wins.
Participation
Members on the forum will be free to change, join and create clubs before the event begins in March
However, once the event begins, the membership of each club will be recorded beforehand. If an individual decides to leave or change clubs mid-way during the competition, their points will still be counted towards their original team.
A member of a club will be counted as an active participant if they have contributed at least ten (10) points to the club during the course of the event.
An individual can choose to opt out of the event by leaving a reply in this thread if they do not wish to participate.
Event Prizes
All participants will earn a badge signifying their involvement in the Club Games
For the winning teams, event prizes are listed below:
1st Place
:
A new username color and badge relating to the topic of the winning Club, A Championship badge, and a mystery prize that will be revealed at the end of the event
2nd Place
:
A new username color and badge relating to the topic of the winning Club.
3rd Place
:
A new badge relating to the topic of the winning Club.
Conclusion
Forum members can create a new club or disband their existing club using the thread below.
