Not all communists. But I noticed during my life the majority of people into communism resort to adopting beliefs that are very conventional and mundane.
It was observed by some conservative commentators that societies like the ones in the so called "west" allow us to build inside of it other mini-socieities, which is why we host societies within the main one. We have cults, religions, masonries, sometimes even entire cities are run by spinoffs with sub-rules. Ideology can guide people to create a separate society, it has been demonstrated possible countless times.
In my country the cult damanhur owns 4 cities in total. Its legal. Or we have a communist spinoff called punkabbestia, they separated from the rest of us to go live their ideal form of existence. Once these people live their life, they fulfill themselves and achieve their desires, and we who prefer the cities do not complain at all. I at least support the decision of inventing your own ideology and your own "reality of life" and I am invested in doing the same. Its not illegal, its not bad.
I came to realize this level of individuality and ownership of the self that allows a man to invent his ideology and his society isnt common. The majority are derelicts, who we may call "normies", and they are insecure and collectivist by nature, they are gregarious. The normie has to be narrated all senses, all emotions and all aesthetic by "alpha" people and grifters. A normie is unable to think anything original, and they depend on narratives and storytelling offered to them by the parasocial ecelebs.
A normie is physically unable to do the feats achieved by punkabbestia. Which is why normies often are found worshiping the most conventional and oftentimes dead shit ideologies from the past, like stalinism or hitlerism. Another thing you notice is normie ideologies are always related to bigman leaders or ecelebs or gurus or "the man with charisma". Punkabbestia or trannies dont do this, they dont worship bigman charismaman.
In other words I think normies are physically unable to determine the "reality of life". They cannot attain the life they want unless someone else writes it, implements it on a mass scale and gives it to them. This is the reason chuds or other normie spinoffs often want to change the entire world to "get pussy". Because on their own, they are unable of independent thought.
