I think own nothing be happy is a truism it's simply true.
If you don't own anything then you have no worries.
Try to watch these videos of thugs in prison, they have all they want no care in the world.
Or watch rap listeners, their life is fully artificial, they don't own their self.
But they're happy.
People on Catholic welfare own nothing, and they always have that lunatic smile
Because owning stuff gives you responsibility, simple as. And maybe that doesn't lead to muh happiness.
I also think only some rare individuals are able to take responsibility and approach ownership, and acknowledge happiness is your private property as well so what It means to be happy belongs to you.
Average normies lack in individuality so they require universal rules to describe happiness, which is also why under some dictatorial definitions the concept of "happiness" can be drilled into people heads making them think the greatest goal in life is just to die, and only afterlife matters... In some religions is like this.
