The way they speak to each other is rapid fire and automatic, especially in group settings.

If you’re someone with a neurodivergence that makes interacting socially more difficult, one thing I noticed many times is when these people are having their usual rapid fire discussion/conversation, and you try to bud in and participate yourself, there’s a very noticeable disruption or “break” in their interaction occurs.

They’ll go from running their mouths about whatever to suddenly being surprised that you said something and they’ll ask you to repeat yourself either because they didn’t hear you or because they were so immersed in their own discussion that what you said didn’t register the first time (as if you were never there).

I’ve experienced this many times.

I heard autistic folks got lower working memory type shit. Like the brain circuits are thinner between the areas so it takes longer for information to travel. Its a real shame because lots of autistic folks arent even that dumb but they just have problems with working memory and take a long time to think, normal people just be rapidfire spamming their brains for low quality information. Autistic people tend to have spiky profles so they arent as good at some things like social skills or short term memory. Heres an example:

So you see the red lines are autistic and black lines are the normal folks. For the motor difficulties part I heard that lots of guys on the spectrum also have dyspraxia (bad balance and movement) so it looks accurate to me.
