I cleaned my cookies recently, and when accessing google, it not just asked for cellphone confirmation (which always does) but it also sent a prompt to take a selfie from the PC. However this second prompt was optional and I skipped it.
The writing is on the wall. Soon it will be mandatory to take a selfie just to access your google account, and since my PC does not have a camera, I will be blocked from accessing it. And no, I will not install a camera in my PC.
