I agree. Most people want to be a slave, a subordinate. It is hard to reject vanity completely, but one should also never lose the sense of self without being too selfish.

Once you find validation in your own life will it feel better, but sadly if you do not try to compete at the highest level you can then you will never have access to those levels unless you impressed someone.

What's wrong with something being "normie-coded" and what is wrong with someone being a "normie" sometimes? Maybe it is because I don't understand what a "normie" actually is. The way I understand "normie" to be a silly way of saying "normal", so just someone who is considered "normal" and is socially conforming? I mean, I don't think anyone should strive to be as "normal as possible", but if by being yourself, you happen to be considered a "normie", I don't see the issue of that.

In the 2010s looksmaxxing (at that time called PUA) was geared towards the redpilled public. PUA was a attempt from bluepilled normies to bring the redpilled back to the slave pen. That was the general consensus in the manosphere.
I took the blackpill in 2013 after I stopped escortmaxxing and the idea back then was of revolting against what I called "the duty to fuck", because many times I was going to fuck a escort I thought "what I'm doing here in the street, I should be home" and this idea started to grow. And since not fucking escorts lead to zero contact with females I was introduced to inceldom.
But I was still chained to pornography, so the second effort was to get rid of it. This has lead to the whitepill in 2019, resulting in the manifestation of my first tulpa. So my path was entirely different from this people who, today, preaches looksmaxxing while being blackpill.
The contrast between the redpilled in 2012 rejecting PUA and the blackpilled in 2026 accepting its child (looksmaxxing) points to a bastardization of the manosphere. It is like that meme of the game that get invaded by normies and the original players end up leaving.
The normie infiltration also happened with the whitepill, in relation to stoicism. Thanks to YouTube influencers, stoicism is now associated with cuckoldry. Imagine someone in their 20s, hormones clouding their judgment, and what would be the exit is just more cuckoldry, they will stay angry and never leave the looksmaxxing circlejerk.
