The greatest social fear of people

Remember they hated you first.

By experience and analysing people in social contexts, I came to the realization that the biggest fear for many people is being average in life.

Firstly, so many people hate 9–5 jobs and living paycheck to paycheck. People see this as a failure, even though it is objectively the average professional experience. Many scammers who sell business courses play on that aspect, and they do it very well too.
The type of life where you have an average partner, kids, and buy your groceries at Walmart absolutely disgusts a lot of people, especially those in their 20s.

This is also one of the causes of hypergamy, in my opinion. The average person thinks they deserve the best and will reject someone average not only because of looks but also because they don’t stand out. Outside of attractiveness, that’s why rich men have so much success in dating. It’s because many women want a luxurious and above-average life with expensive clothes, cars, and vacations.
This is also why, in looksmaxxing spaces, MTN (mid-tier normie, meaning an average guy in terms of looks) is seen as an insult, because being average is considered bad. It's true that looksmaxxers argue that being MTN is not enough in 2026 hence the negativity but outside of that it is seen as bad thing because of the averageness of it.

The problem with having such unrealistic expectations is that, for about 99% of people, life will still be average. You end up living the life you feared, and that can make you feel depressed, with FOMO slowly ruining your peace of mind.

This is why I hope I make it at my job as a WFH salesman, I can get any woman I want, I probably almost could now but self loathing is a thing and I would think a woman has something wrong with her if she wants me like this.
