yes theres curious laws of grifting that we can observe. First aw is the Law of perpetual dependence, where grifters produce permanent followers, they call it "audience retention", its their express goal in life. Second law of grifting is hierarchical concentration. They create a pyramid, it may take some time but in the end only the most psychopatic remains. Who remains are only those who hoard more prestige, money, political power, widest audiences. Third law is manufactured scarcity. They cannot sell knowledge if its abundant. They have to convince their audience to not use abundant free services like their local library, internet education, free open-courses. So that their audience are compelled to only listen to the grifter. 4th law is delayed actualization. The normie has to be convinced whatever the grifter is promising is "about to come" but it never comes. They are led to believe they are making progress, but also intermittently shamed. Bit of lovebombing, bit of peer pressure and shame. If mixed together produces dependent losers. And final and fifth law of grifting: Whoever produces genuine content harms them. Preserving their authority takes precedence above everything else. So they always mobilize their audience against true science. These laws are cool to observe, but I can hardly consider them "good", unless youre some sick "accelerationist". I think you wont have luck organizing an "accelerationist" group. Because grifting is so much destructive it also hurts people at the margins of society, people who may have been capable to "rebuild society" instead will be crippled by grifting.
