I’ve seen the tunnel,
The dark stretch of nothing
Where every step I take is a circle,
And every thought I have is dead before it breathes.
I thought I was searching for the light—
That fabled glow at the end,
But it’s always been me,
Casting shadows on myself.

What is this light?
It’s a lie, a trick,
A mirror hung in the void to make me think
There’s something worth walking towards.
But the joke’s on me—
I am the light
I’ve been running from,
Chasing myself in the dark,
Blinding myself with my own reflection.

There’s no tunnel,
Just a path I invented
To feel like I’m getting somewhere.
And now, I stand still—
Because I’ve finally realized:
The tunnel, the light,
It’s all me.
And I’m tired of running in circles
To escape myself.​
