The new lore says: youre too intelligent for myth, cultivate ironic detachment, never risk being sincere because maybe you are wrong once in a while, be always disappointed, join religions (always semitic superstitions for some reason).
In LOTR theres full of fallen kingdoms and broken societies, full of corrupt leadershit, full of people who sold their ass to sauron, full of scammed kinglets who have shit advisors who poison them, full decaying nobles who betray their sons. But the characters are on a quest to break "the ring" anyway. If they were doomer or chud they would have given up long ago.
A doomer in the shire would notice the evil nature of normies around him and get demoralized instantly.
You could say redditors are manchildren bcause they believe LOTR or starwars or harry potter. Instead new internet man is "Based" and mature or whatever you want, maybe you got a point. But except starwars (semitic superstition) I think they got better mythology, and the new internet man failed to create anything better.
We have a demon to slay, we have to kill the doomer and the chud that is our new task ahead.
