Story The Volunteer Shift part 2.

I don’t know why I have been not posting this story which I’ve already had for a long time. I think it was mainly due to the factors of me playing more video games and also the constant subjection to a screen rotting my brain and decreasing my will to do anything productive besides to go to like half my classes lol.

It’s a pretty long read but it’s not too nuanced so I think most people will get through it quickly.





So basically in my last post I’m pretty sure I talked about how I would describe to this forum how my volunteering gig at a big city attraction would go (it’s a Center for science education /entertainment). And I can’t say I was surprised with the results.

The staff who worked there fulltime alongside us volunteers were mostly gay looking women with alien proportions who got really mad everytime they saw my face; ironic because 80% of them were overweight noodlewhores who had hit the Fucking Wall (and now looked like miniature clones of King Kong). There were also a few dudes who were a pain in the ass, especially this (rice looking ?)guy who spoke in one of those comical gay voices; I always wondered why mfs have to make such an effort changing their voice just to sound like that kek. There was also a curry who was like head of all the staff.
As expected, my performance was criticized by all of the faculty members and my evaluation at the end was rated “barely meeting expectations”. It’s really funny, because they deemed me unable to take initiative in engaging guests to play with the exhibits, when in reality I did some tasks at the exhibits so well that parents and their snotnosed kids would come just to watch and ask me about it. So that was a bunch of horseshit.
Another factor which I was deemed to have poorly performed in was my ability to perform tasks. Well, in addition to my previously mentioned experience proving this to be more bullshit, I also helped the staff deal with 2 cases of a lost child , not one but TWO. Also in both cases , the mother was chinese lmfao. You can’t make this up.

Anyway there was this stupid white NT kid who got praises from the staff literally everyday that I saw him on the shift. One time I held down a busy exhibit myself without him (supposed to be there ) and at the end of the day the staff are praising him for skipping my shift to help a teenage bitch faculty member serve people at the fucking concession stand. Yes guys, his bravery to stay near chicks and try to fuck them is unparalleled. And don’t forget he also has to operate a popcorn machine and a drinks stand. Yes this is very worthy of a commendation.
Stupid fucking JBW.

There’s more but I don’t know if anyone will read this so I’ll stop here. I also think it’s better if I record myself talking because it’s a bit lengthy, the process.

So you're done with all the volunteering for your course? At least you managed to make it through without any kind of major catastrophe.

Sounds like you had a pretty shitty experience overall though.

I think they are just born like that tbh, I don't think they need to make any kind of effort to change their voice because it's just natural to them. Hormones or genetics idk.

Your interactions with staff just speak to the quality of people in general, especially in cities. And it seems like the visitors weren't that much better either.

I don’t think on it too much anymore. Just losing motivation to do anything now. I think that’s my main problem. Because I feel like doing anything will lead to more of the same neglect and anxiety.

I think that only happens if you do things that lead to engagement with other people. It shouldn't really be a problem if you're doing solitary activities.
