Story
Sylvan meets a programmer who follows logical first principles and uses discrete math concepts.
He contrasts his thinking compared to this programmer: He relies on sketchy pattern recognition without heavy independent thought. He previously treated math as trivia, but was shocked when he saw someone apply it this way. His perception of the world(see: 1) changes with time. Sylvan finds talking to extremely introspective people interesting. He wants to start thinking with logical first principles, but it is hard. This is a completely new way of thought. He struggles with articulating these thoughts.

Words and thoughts will never change you and by extension your thinking.

Living may achieve….changing hormones and brain chemistry but usually it takes a lot more, changes in such will give a person a new “subconscious” as opposed to general character changes.

Correct. learning is not transcribing words. But words can structure and organize our thoughts, making certain inferences available and others inaccessible. If words do nothing, then why does misinstruction produce misunderstanding?

Fucking tired of these pussies.

Well, maybe you are right. Maybe you are right because I have been able to have the priviligue to changue a fucking lot due to my highly neruplastic austistic brain, so that's it. Although exploring the unconscious mind has been one of the most phenomelogically interesting experiences I've ever done, and I'll keep doing it. I guess that in a certain way solving the contradictions that arise via thought or the so called neuroses, has been of utter importance for me to feel very differently.

Nonetheless, I have worked extensively with my emotions as well. I have used very agressive music like Death Metalt to induce altered states of consciousness where my body trembled due to how intense it was.

But I guess most pussies here won't try it.
