Language functions as a tool for producing a relationship between subject and world, or at least that seems to be the closest approximation. There is an interesting issue with language, and that lies in the significance attributed to words. In a way, certain realizations can be destabilizing, such as realizing that there are only interpretations. Meaning is contraction, meaning is solidity, meaning is inherence. What happens at the pre-language stage? Before the mind begins to produce narratives and express separation, between me and the other, good and bad, etc. A complete equalization of all phenomena of experience, where nothing means anything anymore.
