I got swisschamp, traveler and climber.
Swisschamp got lots of tools and the ones I think are excellent are: scissors, pliers, the saw.
the saw in victorinox is pretty cool, its tapered and does not get stuck into wood. Lots of people use it for plastic, I found that teeth durability is pretty OK, obviously he flaw is you cant replace it. Design is good. Its a saw that cuts both sides, thicker than avg. Its fairly long as well for being a multitool saw. Its also unique, and I didnt see many saws with that design which makes it intriguing and useful in its own way.
Scissors are really fukin great, they cut precise thin, and can be used for sewing task, can also cut harder materials and they open very wide. They are also hardened higher HRC, seems this is the best tool in the victorinox multitool. This implement is the crown jewel of the entire thing, the scissors are pretty much fully usable higher quality than many other separated implements.
Pliers are cool, not for being "pliers" but because of how fine the tip is, and how precise they can be. So this too becomes another one of these items you will use also for dedicated tasks.
Blades are cool. I like both of them. The smaller blade is essential if you plan on carving, its very thin and so it can be decent for wood carving. The larger longer blade is decent, I simply found a problem it has no lock mechanism so it snapped on my fingers twice. But other than that, pretty OK for cutting fruits or some cheese.
wood chisel 4mm is decent. Its really useful, but the steel is made of isnt for chisels, its soft, and can easily roll. positive is sharpens easily but has limits.
Shit tools are few, I think the only really shit useless tool is the screwdriver for back layers, thats redundant and useless, nobody will ever use it.
Fish scaler is useful instead, I do have need for having a measurement tool, and its my go-to fork. Never used it for scaling fishes but its a real thing. Some people use it for that.
Metal saw, its meh. I dont really know how many usages you can do with that, I think people use it for their nails. The lens is OK, its pretty useful in various situations. Hook is something I never used. Philips screwdriver instead is excellent quality. Again, a thing that really is fantastic. Cork screw instead has some problems if you actually use it, you can bend the knife if you pull with too much force, happened to me an I think is mostly used to contain other tools.
If I had to buy one now I would go with climber. Because got all what works, and nothing of what makes it redundant or useless. If you get mountaineer or huntsman, over time you will wear down the saw and be unable to sharpen or replace. Unless you pop the pins off, and its not easy. And other than that, you also have to purchase replacement parts that cost at times as much as a new knife.
When im out in the forest I carry some hatchet and some random pocket saw, something that actually works. The victorinox does the rest, its there when I need some prying bar or some small blades. Having a pen inside that knife is really useful.
