There are loads of religions that I would consider as "dead", like the many folk religions that people used to practice before being subdued by the Abrahamic faiths. (Celtic paganism, slavic paganism, aztec religion, etc) Though these religions still have followers on fringe groups of the internet. A truly dead religion must be lost in the history books however. I don't think these old folk religions can come back with the rise of Islam across the globe.
Most religions are dead religions as they arent practiced the way they did during their founding and were full of sincere adherents instead of irreligious posers
Lmao read about the shakers in that thread and their no sex rule, genuinely how did they expect their belief system to last long-term? Friday night with the wife must've been so dead.
Jainism, Vedism, Daoism, Shinto, Confucianism, Native American religions, and many others. Sumerian and Akkadian, Zoroasterian, Homeric and Orphic Hellenism, Roman Pantheon, the original Christianity...
