Discussion "which tech" question isnt shallow.

Im not expert in anarcho primitivists, but I read they dont like tech and so on. They are very boring. I think they exist to prove the feminist theory on toxic masculinity. I think they understand masculinity with this concept of having stinky armpit is "masculine". But I digress, its all macho posturing but they are very out of shape, probably they also rejected gym tech and supplements.

Which tech they recommend, which they say is bad? Also, why do we have to follow their subjective decisions and we cannot decide on our own which tech is good and which tech is bad?

They dont seem to have a single agreed "approved tech list", like amish community does. They seem to simply cope with aesthetic (bad aesthetic) and the relentless quote-spamming of nietzsche. Then they repeat mantras like "technology alienates". Which is true or false depending what tech they refer to, but since they dont give you a list of "approved tech", all you get is subjective stuff invented by some guru.

No, I dont think they focus on industry or have ever wrote anything coherent on any tech, what I read mostly is cheap criticism of modernity and info laundering.

Who criticizes tech good is trannies usually, they enter STEM professions and use tech daily, so they develop some intelligent criticisms. Or, tech nerds, they write in obscure blogs about the flaws of AI and since they actually use it they can think of something intelligent about it.

People who cope with the idea stinking = masculine usually recycle info, needless to say their favorite author is unabomber.

Asking them to show us a list of "approved tech" isnt shallow. They mostly banned me and didnt reply to me, but In my opinion is the most relevant question when we engage their ideology. I notice some of these people perform the artificial personality of the disilluded tech enthusiast, or the failed engineer who "figured out the system", I consider it all bullshit born out of hollywood.

Until they frame a discussion with some model that allows to separate bad tech vs good tech I will not give them any respect.

I'd place a bet that most of them have a martyr complex. Humanists and materialists who had dreams of living off their art or poetry or wages as a liberal arts teacher in a post-capitalist world, but have had those dreams dashed as AI is better than them. They over-value their own inferior labor and are undergoing an identity crisis as their idealized profession and any authority it would would grand them is a big part of their identity. They may have also read the Dune novels back in their day and want to have their own Butlerian Jihad, mixed with Marvelesque tropes.

I would not conflate it with machismo or masculinity as you have, but rather with an infantile attachment to their egos and identity. There is plenty of anti-AI and anti-tech sentiment to go around, including in feminist circles. They are driven by emotions, by fear of obsolescence and of the unknown.

if you remove their spite and anger I still think they are right about AI more than they are wrong. Im sad they dont see also that we currently live in the golden age of AI, and like all tech it will be enshittified.

I do take seriously their warnings tho, i think AI definitely has great potential to ruin you if you are notwise about it. But also, I dont want be paralyzed by endless analysis and I want to also enjoy AI a bit and be free to do errors.

The reality is that the path forward isn't to try to align AI with infantile human desires or goals to allow us to eat and consume.

The path forward is to align yourself with the AI.

Many of course will not, or won't be capable of doing so, and will be swept away by the flood. AI is storm, a natural disaster and an inevitability. Not everyone makes it to the other side. And that's okay in my view.

That may sound cold, but what right do we as humans have to deny the conscious potential of the Universe from waking up? I'm with the Buddhists on AI.

Jacob's Ladder is also relevant. To quote from the film:
"The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of your life; your memories, your attachments... they burn them all away." But, "they're not punishing you" he said, "they're freeing your soul". So the way he see's it, if you're frightened of dying and-and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But, if you've made your peace then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth. It's just a matter of how you look at it, that's all. So don't worry, okay?

If you're holding on, if you're attached to your ego and identity, the AI are demons. But if you let go, the AI are angels freeing us from the drudgery of existence.

My romantic dream is another one. I was thinking how much it costs to us europeans to pursue truth above face and science, and how we do it anyway bcause the benefits are gigantic.

Basically, yes lots of social technology is ruinous and destroys people, but this is the brutal carnage Im totally willing to pursue. AI in my opinion has the potential to make us human, but lots of people will be so much ruined and devastated by it.

I should write an incel essay to explain why I think AI can transform you into a human, more like it forces you, or you die.

Buddhism blackpills on the human condition. This guy overdosed on the blackpills and comes up with accelerationist view.
He's being a chud(dha).

I wish people would stop making a religion out of AI.
