Why one came before the other
It’s really about technology and culture changing over time:
In the 1970s–80s, there was no internet, so people expressed ideas through things like music, TV, and magazines
By the 2000s–2010s, the internet made it easy for niche groups and forums to form globally
So a band like The Cars could exist decades earlier, while something like Incels.is couldn’t even exist yet
