I think a part of it is just laziness. Especially after COVID-19, making people even lazier. People got used to being lazy during COVID, and didn't wanna go back to wearing nicer clothes that are more uncomfortable in comparison. Lol.

Most people since the 2010s didn't really dress up that well tbh. 60s culture was also very uniform and strict so dressing up in other styles would actually get you in autistic trouble with UK levels of punishment.
