I was raised Protestant as a kid but just never really bought the whole idea of an Abrahamic God. It probs started with the whole story of creation taught to us and then my love for dinosaurs, which I found inherently contradictory. & once you hear "the bible isn't mean't to be taken literally" in order to make room for T-rex & evolution, you don't really "have faith," in the same way or believe in heaven & hell and all of that. I mean do most kids really believe in miracles and the supernatural? I think in the back of their heads many just don't & that was me.
This isn't a criticism of christianity or the bible I quite like both & think they benefit society/have good lessons. Just a matter of belief.
