Speculation? The "grey aliens" are simply distortions in space time, so not actual "aliens" but rather "visions" of Homo Sapiens beings. Some people state that the "grey aliens" are the Homo Deus (the artificial subspecies that have survived underground through the previous "great reset", which is of cyclical nature) but that doesn't explain those short frames because they look like literal little children (or the Australopithecus afarensis) unless... something went wrong in the lab (Homo Sapiens momento).
