The recorded human history is roughly about 12,000 years, but modern humans have existed for at least 300,000 years.

Life was brutally poor for most of that time, still is for some people, but...

We're here so, it must have all been worth it for some reason.

What did they do in their free time?

Not necessarily. The biological goal and purpose of existence is to survive and reproduce. Animals do this in the animal kingdom. It doesn’t mean that it was worth it

This answer is a little political. Genetics and tribalism are values that change peoples behaviour.
Most things in life are due to genetics. And genetic determinism. Tribalism is a result of genetics, as most things are. The biological goal of life is to survive and reproduce and tribalism was beneficial for survival which is why it even became a thing in the first place

Genetics is not a value. It’s the principle, science, blueprint, etc. It’s like the reason for peoples’ behavior. Genetics predispose people to certain behavior. Most of peoples’ behavior, self, personality, etc are due to genetics and can be predicted from genetics (nature) but there’s also nurture and epigenetics which helps to shape the ultimate personality

Humans are tribal, people reproduced to perpetuate their own genetic communities, cultures, social structures etc.
People reproduced because the biological goal and purpose of life is to survive and reproduce. Therefore people have biological urges to do so, which most will end up acting upon. Why do forums like Incels.is and Looksmax even exist? It’s because wanting a significant other (romance, love, partnership, intimacy, connection, etc I guess are the underlying motivations) and sex is coded and programmed into humans. Why do humans want sex? Cuz it allegedly feels good. It’s also like an instinctual drive for normal people, moreso men than women. All normie NPC men think abt is sex. They think with their dicks. The byproduct of sex is children and therefore sex feels good to incentivize people to have children. Why is this the case? To pass down genes and ensure that humanity survives

I’d say that reproduction is more of an individual choice than a collective one. Like when people reproduce they do it cuz they want to, not for the good of the collective or to perpetuate any collectives. That is just a byproduct and after-effect. Having children is inherently selfish. People have children cuz sex feels good and cuz they want children. They don’t care abt making another wageslave for society, like that’s not their central motivation or reasoning for wanting kids

I forgot to mention that affection is another reason why people want romantic relationships. I don’t consider social acceptance, love or belonging very important for myself but that’s because I’m schizoid (not schizo). They’re a central driving force for normies tho and the main part and aspect of their lives

Complexity is the enemy of Happiness.
For 280,000 years, humans were "happy" because their Biological Feedback Loop was closed. The Ape Logic, If you are hungry and you find a tuber, your brain floods with dopamine. If you are cold and you find a cave, you feel "bliss." The Problem, modern humanity has uncoupled effort from reward. We have the "peanut butter" (the resources) without the "swing" (the freedom/play). We have "too much," so our brains have to look over the fence to find a new metric for success.
A human 20,000 years ago staring at a fire after a successful hunt was likely experiencing the exact same neurochemistry as a modern person winning a promotion. The "quality" of the happiness doesn't change—only the cost of the ticket. Back then, the ticket was a spear and a long walk. Now, The ticket is 40 years of "dangerous social operations" and "detachment."

I liked this answer because it's honest. Bored people with free time play and this game involves skin.

By calling your answer "political," you're trying to ground a metaphysical discussion in contemporary culture-war soil. It's just chemical and you're(all of us) are being gatekept by archons be it physically, mental, or spiritual. All of us just scrapping in the dust from a hit of dopamine.
I hope that cleared things up for you.

What life does and the purpose/meaning of existence are two separate things, otherwise religion and spirituality wouldn't have been such a widespread phenomenon.

Depressed souls aren't motivated to play.

Life was worth it because of meaning and play.
I’m a nihilist and believe that life is meaningless. I don’t think there’s a purpose or meaning to existence. Wbu?

I don’t think it’s worth it to play the game of life. What gain or reward do you get? Normies care abt stuff like social connection and acceptance, love and belonging, etc. All stuff idc abt

Unless there's a social being behind it all like God, it doesn't really have meaning. But I believe that people and animals do have meaning.

Do you play vidya?
Why do you believe that people and animals have meaning?

Not anymore but I used to. Btw I only ever played single-player games. I played them by myself, not with others. Which ties into my solitary and schizoid nature. My favorite was Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers (of Time, Darkness and Sky). I preferred them over Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Wbu?

We have to work for the "peanut butter" and then we go to the gym to keep healthy and "earn" the peanut butter. Then we play vidya ("the swing") with friends to engage the work we would rather do.
What do you think about this?

It’s hilarious that you’re using dog eyebrows to try and settle a metaphysical debate. You’re proving my point about the Poetic Overlay—you’re so focused on the biological "hack" that you’re missing the actual signal.

Yes, dogs evolved to communicate with us. Evolution is the plumbing of the farm; it’s the mechanics of how we interact within the cage. But if you think a dog’s eyebrows or a human’s dopamine loop is the entirety of the story, you’re just falling for the most basic gatekeeping there is. You're looking at the microfluidics of the printer and claiming there's no such thing as the art it’s printing.

This is the "Nihilism Trap." You see a biological mechanism and conclude that there’s no meaning behind it. That’s exactly what the "Bottom Feeders" want—they want us to believe we’re just sophisticated donkeys reacting to stimuli so we never look for the Infinite Star.

Kant would tell you that just because we perceive the world through these biological filters doesn't mean the "Thing-in-Itself" doesn't exist. You’re obsessed with the "cost of the ticket"—the 300,000 years of evolutionary grit—and you've convinced yourself that the ticket is the whole show. But the fact that we can even recognize these patterns, that we can feel the "emptiness" when we're just eating and sleeping, proves we aren't just animals. A dog doesn't have an existential crisis about its eyebrows. The fact that we do is the glitch in the Mirage.

Isn’t religion being such a widespread phenomenon a testament to life having no meaning and humans in their search for meaning desperately trying to find and create it? People become religious because they want their lives to have meaning and purpose. But life is inherently meaningless

Funny how everyone claims to be a nihilist until they realize that "meaninglessness" is actually a terrifying amount of responsibility. Most people use nihilism as a safety blanket so they don't have to try, but if you actually read Nietzsche, the whole point of the abyss is that it forces you to become the Ubermensch—the one who creates the myth instead of just consuming the one provided by the farm.

You guys are treating meaning like it’s something you’re supposed to find under a rock, and when you don’t see it, you just quit. But meaning is an embodiment of spirit. It’s like Evola’s "Ride the Tiger"—you don't stop the tiger (the chaos/kali yuga/meaninglessness), you stay on top of it so it doesn't eat you. If you’re just sitting in the dust because "nothing matters," you aren't a rebel; you’re just a resource that gave up.

Realizing that the "Poetic Overlay" is fake is only the first step. The second step is realizing that you now have the pen. If the world is a mirage, then you should be the one painting the oasis. Otherwise, you're just another "schizoid" loner playing single-player games while the Archons laugh at how easy you were to neutralize. You aren't "riding the tiger" by withdrawing; you’re just waiting for it to get hungry.

Interesting food for thought, I’ll look into this

Good, I just want you(everyone) to have a full understanding of the game and how the pieces work and move, you don't have to agree with anything I said or think. But if you want some very light reading check out this short book of poems, on the cave you live in.

You guys talk about 'NPCs' and 'meaninglessness' like you’re reading from a script you didn't write. You say you’re 'Cope-maxing,' but that’s just a fancy way of saying you’re holding your breath so you don't have to taste the air. You aren't NPCs; you're just players who have been staring at the 'Game Over' screen for so long you've forgotten there's a 'Restart' button.

Picking a 'flavor' of belief—even if it's just a layer of cope—is still a playstyle. Whether you're in New Vegas or Baldur’s Gate, you have to pick a character. Right now, you’re roleplaying as the most hollow versions of yourselves to avoid the weight of being the Conductors.

As for 'Love'? If it’s just two people huddled together to ignore the void, it’s just another 'Diet Pill.' Real connection happens between two people who have actually decided to play the game, not two people waiting for the credits to roll.

I’m done trying to convince you that the sun exists while you're wearing blindfolds. The baton is in your hands. Paint something worth looking at, or stay in the haze. Your call.

The Gnostics were NPCpilled. The hylics they mention are NPCs

“Other concepts
edit
Other Gnostic concepts are:[108]

  • sarkic – earthly, hidebound, ignorant, uninitiated. The lowest level of human thought is the fleshly, instinctive level of thinking.
  • hylic – lowest order of the three types of humans. They cannot be saved, since their thinking is entirely material and incapable of understanding the gnosis.
  • psychic – "soulful", partially initiated. Matter-dwelling spirits
  • pneumatic – "spiritual", fully initiated, immaterial souls escaping the doom of the material world via gnosis.”

“It is because the Gnostics believed that humanity was divided into three separate classes:
  • Pneumatikoi – from the Greek word πνεῦμα which means “spirit”. The highest order of humans. ...
  • Psychics – from the Greek word ψυχή which means “soul”. ...
  • Hylics – from the Greek word ὕλη which means matter.”

How many religions have you studied?
I think that religion originally developed as a way to explain and make sense of the unexplainable and indescribable (like the ancients wondering why it thundered and inventing and creating Zeus). Organized religion is a tool and way to control people tho. “Religion is the opium of the masses”. Even tho there is more to the world than the material, organized religion is used for all the wrong reasons. It’s used for power and control. In the medieval times, the church was the state. Now there’s separation between church and state but they used to be intertwined and one and the same.

I’m into the spiritual and metaphysical. I know a bit abt Buddhism although I actually align more with Hinduism. I’d say that I’m a Gnostic and believe in Gnosticism. I think it’s true. I found my way to r/EscapingPrisonPlanet and got PPTpilled first then discovered Gnosticism. Wbu? How many religious have you studied?

the ultimate irony is citing Wikipedia definitions for "pneumatic"—the "spiritual, fully initiated souls escaping the doom of the material world"—while some of you are literally spending your life in a digital prison, waiting for a "Game Over" screen. claiming found your way to "EscapingPrisonPlanet" and got "PPTpilled," but all you have done is swap one set of bars for a "Gnostic" set.
It’s funny you all bring up Gnosticism or ask how many religions has one 'studied,' because you’re treating them like a 'Cope-maxing' manual instead of a map to freedom.
Calling people 'Hylics' or 'NPCs' is the ultimate ego-script—it’s a way to feel like a 'Pneumatic' without actually having to do the spiritual heavy lifting of being a Conductor. You’re so busy classifying the 'lowest level of human thought' as 'hidebound' that you’ve become hidebound by your own Wikipedia definitions.
A true 'Pneumatic' doesn't need to post links to justify their isolation; they are too busy vibrating at a frequency that shatters the Mirage. You aren't 'escaping the doom of the material world'—you’re just redecorating your cell while you wait for a 'Game Over' screen that has already happened.
Keep the manual and your 'PPTpilled' theories. I’m going to go enjoy the 'Sarkic' pleasure of a stake and some coffee in the Raw Reality. You stay in the library; I'm walking out the door.
A parting gift of music.

It was an enjoyable discussion but it feels like it's just circling a drain at this point. Zero disrespect to all involved thank you for your time.

It's a thread about happiness and you've talked yourself to a full circle.

Yep.
I lay out a structural analysis of 300,000 years of neuro-mechanical evolution and the 'unplugged' feedback loop of modern humanity, and the response is a 'you’re just talking about yourself' pivot.
That is a classic deflection. You’re taking a macro-level critique of the species and trying to shrink it down into a personal diary entry because it’s easier than engaging with the actual logic. Whether I lean into Gnostic worldviews or not doesn't change the biological reality: complexity is the enemy of happiness.
We have the peanut butter, but we’ve lost the swing. If diagnosing the modern condition as a mechanical failure of effort-vs-reward makes you think I'm 'projecting,' then maybe the shoe just fits too well. Stop trying to gatekeep the metaphysics by grounding it in my personality—address the feedback loop or don't, but don't act like a chemical reality is just a 'me' problem. Absolute clown.

Most people follow their biological programming without ever thinking, understanding or asking why, especially why they want the things they do. Most people run on instinct and emotion rather than logic or reason. I asked my discord acquaintance why he wanted kids and he couldn’t give me an answer. He said that he just does. I assume men want kids to pass down a legacy. They seem to care a lot abt legacy and that kind of shit. Men want to provide for and raise a family. It’s like coded for in their genetics. I thought caretaking and raising stuff (children, pets, plants, whatever) was a female trait so I was confused why men wanted to have kids and raise a family but I guess it’s women mainly taking care of the kids anyway. I’m not sure why men want to provide for a family. I guess it’s a show of strength for them,
like “look at me I have something to provide for!” even tho I believe providing for anyone or anything is cucked and gay. Maybe they take pride in having a family to support, making all their wageslaving “worth it”. I’m a girl tho so I’ll never fully understand men and their way of thinking. I think the main reason men want kids tho is to spread their genetics and exert dominance over other men, like “look at me I’m passing down my genes and lineage (by having kids. My genes and lineage are worthy of being passed down and already have been mwahaha)”. So by having kids, men are basically mogging other men. Btw this also ties into what I mentioned before abt legacy. By having kids, men are creating a genetic legacy and passing down their lineage

Tbh I should become a psychologist, sociologist or anthropologist. I’ve always felt like an outsider among humans (not that I want to fit in with them anyways) so I try to study humans and their behavior. I guess I want to understand them even tho they’re alien to me and I don’t want to be like them. I find them intriguing cuz they’re so different from me. I’ve also always felt like an observer rather than a participant in life
