Like I have 0 friends, the last friends I had in high school I cut off because they were mindless drones who had no interest in anything except regurtitating latest tik tok memes. I still have contact with a friend from primary school but we grew apart since we went to different schools and have nothing in common really, even he told me how he has nothing going on in his life and nobody to talk to either so I know I'm not alone in this.

My entire life I never found anybody who was on the same wavelength as me that I could form a genuine connection with, is that even possible or just a fantasy from books and movies?

I can't believe how dull life gets when you reach adulthood. It's nothing but downhill from here. My last shot at socialization will be college but I doubt it will be any different then too.

I'm not trying to be demoralizing/blackpilling just saying it how it is. Anybody else feel this way?

I had 0 birthday wishes this year. I think its my lowest ever. I prefer not to but thats not new. Its kindof a tracker to see how well im doing socially.
Really just try to be healthy, divinely focused and coom your balls off thats the important part

Yeah, I know, exercise keeps depression away and stuff.
I miss when I was an oblivious teenager with hope. Delusion was the only thing keeping me sane funny how that works. It's really dire.

Some people consider religion to be a delusion

Have had the same experience throughout my life. It's a matter of luck tbh, most people are strangers passing through life. Close friendships are rare. They're the ones that have lasted for several years, and formed in the right place and time.

At best, people make acquaintances throughout their life, and while you'd be on somewhat good terms with them, they're not going to help much with the hard times in life.

it seems harder to make any worthwhile connections than ever right now. I think a lot of it has to do with modern day short form content and politics. the high strung/retardation combo is really hard to deal with day to day

I feel the exact same way. Like you I've only had one close IRL friend who has still talked to me in recent years, but we've also grown apart from each other too. Other than that I just rot at home on the internet. Tbh I regret not trying to form deeper friendships with people I was already acquaintances with, it's something you have to go out of your way to make it happen.

You make your entire social circle during your school years, after that it's too late... That's what I learnt too late.

Yep, 100%. Im alienated even from my own parents/family.

Not much to live for post-high school/college in my opinion. That spark also left me mid-way through high school. Maybe it’s because im NEET, but the days feel monotonous. I lack any socialization, hobbies, a reason to live. Though, i dont see how getting a job would change much either. Now i have the burden of working 40 hours a week. It’s hard not to doom, it’s tough times for men.

no i dont care.

I talk to some elderly from time to time.

One elderly was workin for the municipality, he told me some local conspiracy theories abt a situation.

Thats all, I dont want to talk to anyone in my generation bcause I hate all of it. I dont care what they do, they can all die.

I have the same feeling toward Gen-Z. It struck me how sociable the elderly is. They are willing to start up conversations at random, actually wave/greet you as you walk by. On the contrary, a lot of Gen-Z speak in shitty, flat-monotone voices, and are largely socially inept. I'm not much different from the average Gen-Z'er when it comes to my social skills and comfortability in social situations. Unfortunate time to be born in regards to socialization.
