Or is everything physical matter ?
Arthur C. Clarke's Third Law: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." (From his 1962 book Profiles of the Future.)
A Roman seeing a smartphone would think it's straight-up sorcery: a glowing rectangle that summons voices from nowhere, shows moving pictures of distant places, accesses infinite knowledge, or even predicts weather/fortunes. To them, it'd be divine intervention or demonic—miracles or witchcraft—because their understanding of physics, electricity, radio waves, semiconductors, etc., didn't exist. Same with electricity itself (which we take for granted now) or antibiotics curing what they'd call a curse/possession.
