Discussion Anyone here tried to live in shared accommodation before?

Recently I have been getting into arguments with my parents all the time, we don't hate each other but I think its time for me to move out of here soon.

Has anyone here tried to live in shared accommodation before? I don't think it would be that bad because I would just end up staying in my room all day but I'm fearful of living with a bunch of bad roommates.

When I was 18 I went to job corps that's as close as it came.

I have lived with roommates, friends, and even in work assigned accommodations.

All of that has rules you can skate around it, doesn't matter if you don't live with psychos and narcissists that want to control everything.

Its best to live on your own if that's something you can handle it.

Depending on where you live you can get a tiny loft.

I agree with u there, it would be far better to live at ur own place but these shared accommodations are far cheaper (probably for good reason though)

Big city or small town?

If you look around you typically can find some nice places, even older folks just trying to rent a room ya know?

I'm loud and my hobbies take up a lot of space and make noise so I need my space.

It will be in a small town local to me, I have had a look at the shared accom prices there and its decently cheap

I'm fairly quiet and just keep to myself so I wont really be a bother to other roommates, its actually having loud roommates that I would be dreading I don't think I could stand people blasting out music or watching TV on full wack

Understandable, I wish you the best of luck. You have a nice chance to get a decent place in a small town.

It is a double edge sword if your parents arnt charging you right now too honestly. But the freedom is worth the price.
