humans are just animals that learned how to overthink everything. we dress it up with language, rules, and meaning, but underneath it’s still instincts, impulses, survival. animals act, we hesitate. they feel and move on, we feel and spiral. same emotions, just stretched out and complicated by memory and self awareness.
we like to pretend we’re above it, like we’re something separate, but most of what we do still comes down to the same things, seeking comfort, avoiding pain, wanting connection, fearing rejection.
we just built layers on top of it. social rules, identity, ego, expectations.
