Discussion Are humans animals ?

We are not animals because we have a nous and animals do not. If humans were animals we would live in the order of things, but we always are instead inventing ways to rebel against nature. You could make the argument that we are part of a supposed "animal kingdom", but the fact that we are uncontestedly at the top with no potential end in sight save for our own mistakes is only proof that we are not really part of it.

Proof of this:
No other animal species has created institutions to torture each other or impose themselves on others
No other species except for insects has organized slavery in such scale as human beings
Created arbirtrary bullshit they don't even follow to create a world full of hypocrisy and hatred
This might be me but animals seem to care less about looks and they are designed to be more alike to each other which also helps on this argument

Against this:
Humans have created copes not available for animals
They have created medicine(which sometimes is used to extend suffering too)

My opinion:
Maybe rationality is good and "superior" if some kind of idealistic leader like mustache man took over was in charge of humanity but is a complete disaster and sometimes used to excuse unlimited amounts of suffering such extension or birth of people which are clearly going to lead lives with disadvantage due physical or mental defects or outright torment such as down people also me being a cunnyseur and living a world which constantly demonizes me over things I didn't choose why not then choose a mustache man to just allow the flawless people society loves to exist and not the rest?
