How exactly do the philosophies of the Blackpill and the Whitepill intertwine and relate with each other?



The Blackpill arose as a response to the errors and internal inconsistencies of the Redpill, namely it's failure to answer or account for the disparities in success between the extremely attractive and extremely unattractive. Thus Looks Theory was born. The Blackpill eventually grew to also encompass Biological essentialist and genetic determinist viewpoints (Scientific Blackpill).

The Blackpill then, is a set of observations about the world—that physical attractiveness is the most critical factor in determining sexual/romantic success, the unbalanced socio-sexual dynamics between humans, the inherent inequality between individuals and the extreme variance among outcomes, and that men with poor circumstances will generally fall by the wayside.

How does the Whitepill differ from the Blackpill?

The Blackpill is essentially raw data, an observation and description about the world we are living in.

If the Blackpill describes reality accurately, the Whitepill extends the Blackpill by prescribing behavior. If one is Blackpilled, the Whitepill goes further by suggesting that an individual should maximise happiness for themself and find the most optimal lifestyle in response to their circumstances.

The Whitepill is dependent on the Blackpill, and operates on the same worldview. While based on the same premise of the Blackpill, instead of describing reality the Whitepill prescribes individual behavior in response to these observations.

Macro and Micro

The Blackpill provides a macro-view of the world, offering a broad scope into the workings of the world in pertains to sexual competition and fundamental inequalities.

Conversely, the Whitepill focuses on the micro-scale, on the level of the individual. It aims to enquire how one should proceed after becoming Blackpilled. The Whitepiller applies the knowledge of the Blackpill to approach life in a way that is reasonable and practical.

In this manner, it extends upon the Blackpill and addresses areas that the former doesn't.

When Whitepillers take issue with elements of incel culture, it shouldn't be seen as an indictment towards the Blackpill itself, rather, a criticism of the attitudes and behaviors that are often promoted in Blackpill communities which Whitepillers see as counter-productive and harmful to an individual's well-being.

The Whitepill is often poorly misunderstood by many as an emotional cope or form of toxic positivity, when in actuality it's an acceptance of the Blackpill and one's circumstances.

The Whitepill does not deny or shy away from the fundamental realities described by the Blackpill. On the contrary, it requires an individual to be very pragmatic and analytical in evaluating their life holistically, and be introspective about how they should best proceed going forth in light of the Blackpill and in regards to their own personal situation.

So whitepillers do not self-identify as incels and whitepill culture is separate from incel culture?

Involuntary celibacy is a life circumstance and state of being, not necessarily an identity. One can choose to identify or associate with different incel communities or cultures but that's for the individual to decide.

The Whitepill isn't a culture in itself, but a philosophy first introduced around 2018. In a way, the philosophy is still fundamentally tied to incel culture (After all, it was first conceptualized by the founder of incels.is) and draws upon related concepts.

What are "copes" called in whitepill culture?

In common parlance, coping is a psychological mechanism which prevents one from facing the harsh truth, a 'head in the sand' denial of facts which Blackpillers often accuse Bluepillers of. There's also a secondary definition where once Blackpilled, a cope is something which can be used to distract or comfort yourself from the cruel reality of the world.

Whitepillers aren't really 'coping' in the sense that reality is not something they are deluded about—it's something they are very well cognisant of.

A Whitepiller takes action to improve their lifestyle in light of the knowledge of the Blackpill in a way which results for better life outcomes for themselves, but while all these actions can be considered 'cope' in the grand scheme of things, it's something that highly benefits the individual.

How would a whitepiller respond to this?

Whitepillers operate on a different paradigm. From a Blackpiller's perspective, everything is futile—and while it certainly can be on the larger scale of things, on the scale of the individual—gardening is something that improves their life for this specific person.
