And my reply was that humans do more than eat the other dog, they make it a game to invent new ways to cause suffering. Organized crime members take turns torturing each other when they know it goes around. They're like self-hating cowards who want someone else to "catch" them. They make their communities Hell.
Yeah. We uplift toxicity, destruction, sabotage, and anything negative, whilst scoffing away peace, harmony, progress, unity, and love. We are so defeated and psychologically beaten down as a human species.
Might have something to do with "Othering" and humans projecting their worst traits onto people the "Other" which happens to be other people, groups, etc.
Idk I haven't read nearly enough Lacan to elaborate. It could also help explain why Freud would even come up with the Thanatos Drive (desire to self destruct)

I'm not sure who Lacan is but this is definitely somne kind of Freudian, probably unfinished business. It just doesn't make sense to creatively dwell on pain like that. It's not straight.
