You said: Appeal to Nature fallacy, the idea that because something doesn't happen in the "wild," it’s somehow a mistake or a bug.
There is no such thing as an appeal to nature, and everything that does not happen in the wild is a mistake, a bug, an abomination.
Appeal to nature logical fallacy

Ok for one, I was quoting a logical fallacy that ks called an appeal to nature, our friend said earlier said:
It's quite common actually since humans weren't naturally meant to drink milk after the breastfeeding period.
"Humans weren't naturally meant to drink milk", I rejected that notion and said why. I believe you are now coming at this from a religious lens where I'm talking about philosophy.

Modern hygiene and medicine are the only reasons most of us survive past infancy. Living for 70-80 years is technically "unnatural" compared to the "wild" average of 30-40, but nobody is calling a long life an abomination. Idk what this return to monke thread has turned to.

Where do I even begin? You're a joke.

Total meat intake is positively correlated with higher life expectancy independent of caloric intake or wealth, whereas carbohydrate show a negative correlation in cross-sectional data from 175 contemporary populations.

Can you point where things shifted? I thought it shifted in ancient times when time keeping was a new idea.

They counted infant deaths, that chart is pure foolishness.

Haha ok ok calm down now, coffee is halal.

Ok let's pause for a second we have appeal to novelty and and appeal to nature.

Appeal to Nature: "This is good because it's how we did it in the wild."
Appeal to Novelty: "This is good because it’s the latest firmware update."

Im not even arguing that things are good just because they are new; I am arguing that things are good because they work like the "firmware update" that allowed humans to stop dying at 30. It's not good or bad because it's in nature or if it's man made.

Total meat intake is positively correlated with higher life expectancy independent of caloric intake or wealth, whereas carbohydrate show a negative correlation in cross-sectional data from 175 contemporary populations.

And this what's your point? Do you want me to argue that? Your right I agree that refined carbs are a mess and high protein diets are healthy. Seed oils, refined sugars, and high carb diets can be very unhealthy.

I really don't get what you are arguing.

>comparing a human central nervous system to a spider's web.

That chart is literally a stress test for an insect’s nervous system, not a guide for how a 180lb mammal processes "natural" alkaloids. Comparing my morning coffee to a spider losing its ability to spin a web is a massive reach.

Smallpox is natural, is it good?
