Personal Experience Getting a job in 2026 is impossible

If you don't know someone who can get you a job or if you have a fancy college degree your only option is to slave away for minimum wage in a warehouse or something.
Boomers could get a job without knowing how to read or write and make enough money to buy a house and a car.
If you're a peasant everything is rooted against you, it's only getting worse.

Don't know how it is in America but where I live getting a respectable blue collar job is also impossible without connections.

The demand for it is pretty high where I live. Especially for plumbing,HVAC (especially this one bcuz of the absolute shitty hot weather), and welding. Plus, I have a cousin who’s a welder and I could’ve just use him as a way to land me a job as a welder too. But I think he got laid off from his job, last I talked him, so it’s probably not like a secure job anyways despite its high demand.

I really regret getting into college though.
I wasted so much time there just for me to drop out mid way.

Electromotor repair, work conditions = none
Also since it was part of my school program, even though I was doing the same work as a new hire, I got paid 1.50 euro per hour. I was breaking my back for 12 euros a day at 16. Basically slavery. Especially since that's how much 2 and a half boxes of cookies cost and jobs you can get as a college student pay 6-7 euros. I regret going to that high school but now I know just how bad life can get.

Also funny thing my collar was literally blue, the work attire was blue.

Good lord. I had a similar experience when I was like 16? Had a summer job with a landscaping business,I had to wear jeans, long sleeve button up shirts along with and those circular safari hats so I didn’t get sun burned in the hot weather. It was part time but the pay wasn’t even good ( was getting paid $12/hr in cash, which I’m sure is legal in the states since I wasn’t on their payroll, but I was desperate for a job since nobody else was hiring me at fast food joints so I took this one out of desperation)and I was busting my ass off in 95-100 (F) degree weather for 3 months straight, and then I would just come home all sweaty smelling like grass.

I also got hay fever around the beginning of my Junior year of HS from that job right after I told my boss that I quit. Was the last time I was ever going to that type of work again in my life.
