i think happiness is the sum of status quo things and mandated moods enforced by vibe checking normies who dont matter.

Happiness is only for those who seek it, often people think buying said things bring happiness and often just fill said hole. Now am I saying money can't bring happiness, no it can help get you to happiness. However it less of money be more than the tool to remove problems that get in the way of happiness. If you had money coming in that you could live off that comfortably for the rest of your life and not have to pinch pennies and all. You be pretty happy, maybe go a yearly trip, maybe two if you count visiting family for the holidays. However people often see people pretend they have that perfect life and want that not knowing it's just an act or not telling you the problems they're having behind the scenes. That and people often whining the most about their issues have a very "female" style of thinking, especially about their problems if you know what I mean.

The pursuit of happiness is a npc thing. Thanks to this pursuit there is a lot of suffering in the world, because for the golem, to be happy you must violate the space of others, and in this violation they cause a lot of pain.
Also, Maslow pyramid is a scam/ponzi. It was made to make you feel bad. The funny part is that you can have self-actualization without love and belonging. The idea of belonging ties up with the myth that humans are social creatures. If humans were social creatures they would not feel so much pleasure into bullying others, which is an anti-social trait. Imagine all the artists and geniuses of the past using the Maslow ponzi pyramid. They would have created NOTHING, waiting for the world to give them love and belonging, or to have their basic needs satisfied first. Some of these strived in poverty and with little to no sponsorship. Tesla is a name that always comes to mind, since he ended up in poverty, having barely the basic needs of the Maslow pyramid. And still was there doing his equations.
I dont need a fucking pyramid telling me what to do. Adversity breeds strength.
